DHS and DMS musicians are gearing up for the Don Heald Jazz Night on Tuesday, April 9th at DHS. With the passing of Mr. Heald, it was decided to rename the ‘all-town’ concert in his honor. Performances will include the DHS and DMS Jazz Bands with select choruses from both schools. Students are excited to remember Mr. Heald through their music. All are welcome to join in this celebration of his life and influence on countless Dedham musicians.
We’d like to thank the Dedham Music Association of Dedham High School for their continued support throughout the year. On Sunday, March 3rd they hosted the Parkway Orchestra Concert for a fund-raising concert at Dedham Middle School. PCO is conducted by Matthew Fritz and featured violin soloist Markus Placci. They also performed a piece combined with students from the DMS and DHS Bands, conducted by DMS band director Jeff Daniels. A very memorable day for all involved. Special thanks to Dedham Music Association President Noreen Troccoli for all her efforts in organizing this event.
