Winter Concert Season 2014

Drama ClubThe DHS Drama Club made quite an impression with their annual fall production. The one act play, ‘All I Need To Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play’ left the audience begging for more.  Congratulations to Mr. Nick and the entire cast and crew for a very entertaining night of theater. You can see a ->slide show of pics from the production in the Drama Club category to the right.

DHSMBThe DHS Marching Band will complete it’s fall season with their Thanksgiving day performance at the Dedham-Norwood Game. The band performed a show based on the music of the late 60’s ‘Summer of Love’. The show included productions of Somebody To Love by the Jefferson Airplane and White Room by the band Cream.  Congrats to the entire band, particularly Seniors Derek Jameson and Mason Maternowski, and Guard Captains Amber Dillon and Sarah Perno for tremendous leadership throughout the fall season.

With Marching Band winding down, the DHS winter ensembles have started their seasons.  Winter Percussion has more than doubled their membership and will be competing in New England Scholastic Band Association shows in February and March.  We welcome back Director Mark Sachetta for what should be a memorable year.  If any high school student is still interested in joining, contact Director of Fine Arts – Mr. Bolduc.

EndicottA number of DHS students performed at the Dedham Council on Aging Art Show at the Endicott Estate in early November. Students performed jazz standards, a few pop tunes, classical duets, and even some authentic Renaissance music to add ambiance to the event. We are proud of our students who willingly provide community service in support of such great causes around Dedham.
