The Dedham Fine Arts department continues to present exciting community events on a weekly basis that showcase the talents and hard work of so many students at every grade level. This continues with several concerts and end-of-year activities scheduled in the coming weeks.

The DHS Band and AVE Chorus performed at the Statue of Liberty on May 14th. The performance was the highlight of a 3 day trip that included seeing Aladdin on Broadway, and visiting the 9/11 Memorial and other NYC landmarks. It was an honor to represent Dedham at one one of America’s most iconic landmarks.
The annual Dedham Art Show saw huge numbers of art admirers at the middle school on May 19th. Art work created by students from every school were featured throughout the building, along with a solid performance by the DMS jazz band. DHS held their spring concert featuring final performances by so many talented seniors. Band, string, and choral students presented a variety of musical numbers, and paid tribute to retiring DHS choral and drama teacher William Nicholson. Mr. Nick was treated to a memorable performance by his daughters, and the return of many alumni of the chorus to join the performance. You can see pictures from the concert by ->clicking here.
